Ecuadorian soprano based in Colorado, Maria José Fabara is a versatile artist who has performed on stages throughout Latin America and the US. Since moving to Colorado in 2022, she has established herself in the local music scene, bringing her distinctive Latin-American artistry and diverse talents to a variety of performances.

Her recent opera highlights include Despina in Così fan tutte at the Crested Butte Music Festival, Barbarina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Fort Collins, Frasquita in Bizet's Carmen for Opera Colorado's Student Matinee, Mimi in La Bohème with Steamboat Opera, Mariana in Illick's Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World, Tiresias in Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias at Denver’s Newman Center, and Violetta in La Traviata under the baton of Maestro Dante Anzolini in Ecuador.
